SPORTS MASSAGE

It is appropriate for athletes and ANYONE who is interested in improving function and performance. It is used to help prevent sports injuries, postural problems, movements restrictions and some conditions related to muscle stiffness, and aches.


 Sports massage is a combination of different techniques as well as Deep Tissue Massage. It is always refined and adjusted to suit each individual requirements and goals. Therefore it doesn't need to be a painful treatment session unless if it required by the patient/client.

HOLISTIC MASSAGE:

A relaxing form of massage which takes into account the person's whole being: body and mind. It provides general relaxation, reduces muscular tension and releases aches and pains.

The term "Holistic" is derived from the Greek word "holos" meaning "Whole". Holistic therapies treat the whole person rather than just the body. They alleviate physical, mental and emotional ailments.


The holistic massage improves circulation, which increases the blood flow bringing fresh oxygen to the body tissues, boosting lymphatic drainage; thus assisting the elimination of waste products, as well as improving nerve efficiency.

It promotes general well-being, enhances self-esteem and can boost the immune system.

REFLEXOLOGY

It is a therapy technique that provides stimulus through pressure on the reflex points of the feet or hands creating a reflexive response throughout the body including its internal organs. Once our body's systems work together, this method can encourage relaxation and stimulation thus activating the body's self-healing and balance.


It relieves stress and tension and has a deeply relaxing effect. It improves blood circulation and helps the nerve system, it helps cleanse the body of toxins and impurities. energy, it helps to stimulate creativity and productivity.


The ancient texts, illustrations, and artifacts have shown that the early Chinese, Japanese, American Indian tribes, Russians, and Egyptians worked on the feet to promote good health. Today these techniques have been developed into a holistic therapy called Reflexology.


Dr. William Fitzgerald was one of the most important people in the history of reflexology; who first started studying and using Zone Therapy. He divided the body into ten, longitudinal zones. These zones formed the basis for the development of reflexology and are still used today. Then in the early Eunice Ingham developed foot reflexology.

INDIAN HEAD MASSAGE

Invigorating or relaxing massage. Applied over back, shoulders, arms, head, and face.


Indian Head Massage is a treatment that has developed gradually and naturally from traditional techniques that have been practiced in India as part of a family ritual for thousands of years.


Its principles come from the ancient system of medicine known as Ayurveda; which in Sanskrit means: " the science of life and longevity".

Its approach to health is the balance of mind, body, and spirit, promotion of long life. It also takes into account the use of massage, together with a healthy diet, herbs, cleansing, yoga, meditation exercise.

Indian Head Massage was originally used on the head; today the back, shoulders, neck arms are also massaged as it helps alleviate the stress and associated aches and pains around these areas.

It is beneficial for everybody; in particular for people whose jobs use repetitive movements such as office workers, computer operators, drivers, builders etc.


The daily stress or postural factors can cause some muscles be held in a tight position influencing other parts of the body, which gradually develop muscular imbalance leading to pain and tension in specific areas.

HOT STONE  MASSAGE

A type that uses smooth, heated stones with massage strokes to create a deep, relaxing and healing treatment. It is a deeply soothing, relaxing form of massage.


It helps loosen tight muscles, improves blood flow to surrounding tissues, helps the elimination of toxins and waste products from the body thus enhancing the immune system.
